Fishing for Striped Bass on Cape Cod is world-class! From top water, to live lining, to vertical jigging, and even fly fishing, this trip is ideal for fishermen of all experience levels, ranging from newcomers to seasoned anglers. A Striper trip is a perfect family-friendly trip for ages 5 and up.
Striped Bass fishing season on Cape Cod runs from the beginning of May until the end of October, making it truly one of the top destinations for Striper spots in the country. Striped Bass on Cape Cod run from 20 inches to upwards of 60 inches long. Stripers are a very fierce, fighting fish that tend to pick one direction and stick with it, and will test any angler’s endurance.
Also, being one of the better-eating fish in the Northeast, Striper’s delicate white meat makes it truly a fish worth targeting. While targeting Striped Bass, oftentimes Bluefish are found in the same areas as they tend to swim together. Bluefish are a hard-fighting fish, very aggressive, a bit jumpy, and have an acquired taste for eating. Bluefish range from 18 inches to 38 inches and are found on the Cape typically from mid-June until mid-October.
There will be approximately a 20-minute ride to the fish, depending on the launching location. During this time, your captain will discuss the safety precautions expected of our clients, as well as an instructional period of casting lessons and a history of the area we are fishing.
Your rods will be rigged, and you will be off and catching Stripers, and maybe even some Bluefish, in no time! Each trip offers our clients the opportunity to take their catch home. Your Captain will fillet and bag your fish if desired.
Locations will range from Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown to the Monomoy Rips. All gear and supplies needed for your trip will be provided by your charter. You are encouraged to dress for safety and weather, and are welcome to bring beverages and foods of your choice.
